  1. We need to review our posts with five topics – and ones that are actually followed in SU – to get traction in StumbleUpon. And then, if you have something going for you like Triberr, it is easy to get more likes, which compound the effects of your review and get your stuff seen by more Stumblers, if you simply SU-like fellow tribemates’ stuff from “Tribal Stream.” If more people would do this, we’d all benefit.

  3. Truly impressive numbers Lilach. I see so many bloggers neglect SU completely, it sort of baffles the mind. Is it sometimes 10 second views, Yes. Is it always 10 second views, absolutely No. There isn’t a bookmarking site out there that would bring this kind of traffic. Congrats.

There were some great points there. Being a (predominantly) Network Marketer online, it is getting tougher and tougher to ignore all the latest trends and social sites, and it is wise to just pick a handful of marketing strategies and stay focused. I did hear that SU was very powerful, however with limiting myself to just an hour for all social media activity, it is sometimes a toss up between social sites and right now I am leaning towards Pinterest, however your results here are very good.

Either way – any social site is about just that “being social” and taking part and committing to doing something consistently and this is the hardest part for many marketers.

I will definitely put some of your tips into effect ‘though as this was very useful information and thank you for sharing it.

It took me ages to register with all the listings, however, I appreciate that the more visible you are the more connected you are going to be and so I pushed through and did it anyway despite my resistence. My question is: that given the more connected you are the more anonymous you must become as it’s not really possible to engage meaningfully with so many people; how do you remain interesting and engaging When you have so many followers?

Had naively never even heard of StumbleUpon before, but having followed your advice it looks like an excellent platform. Anyway, thanks for the advice and hope that it will lead to my feature articles getting more exposure in future.

  45. Lilach, I tried the StumbleUpon shortener and it’s very neat. SU keeps track of how many clicks the URL you have submitted gets, even if you only shorten the URL (and don’t post on Twitter or FB). Keeps count of retweets and reviews. And shows your stats in a chart (much like Google Analytics, as your graphic shows). Thanks for the tip!
