  3. Wow! I didn’t realize they had that many statically available sites for social media. I must admit – that tends to fall by the way side and I’ll go months without looking at stats. That list motivates me to check it more often. There are so many to choose from that there is no excuse. Thanks!

  4. This is a nice blog post…All the analytical tools are very helpful for Social media. Analytical tools maintain and measured the importance of social media. Thanks for this blog commenting.

  5. Nice post. Also do check out BuzzSumo. A social search tool that will find the most shared content for any topic or domain across all the main social networks. It also allows you to analyze influencers that helped amplify the content.

  8. wow, to manage all of it, takes a whole person time. A while ago i was reading a blog post on Backlinko about a tool, which can manage all of it, what these tools can.. I think the name was Bufferapp or smg. Might be check that out

  9. Hi Lilach, Interesting list. You should also check out Webfluenz. A tool that monitors keywords across social media/real time web and provides analysis including sentiment, influencers, buzzing topics & more. It also provides analysis of Facebook page/profile and Twitter accounts.

  10. This is a seriously great article, Lilach. Thanks! I had come across quite a few of them before (I use Tailwind, Wolfram|Alpha, LikeAlyzer, TwitterCounter, SumAll and Twtrland) However I hadn’t come across your favourite, Simply Measured. It does look fantastic. However I think one aspect that many of these SMMTs or analytics companies struggles with is communicating the type of business they are targetting. Simply Measured are not targetting small businesses or agencies. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the price of their basic plan was $500 per month! Clearly I am not currently one of their target businesses (maybe one day). Are the free reports worth exploring?

    Thanks again!

These are great but I personally like the iphone app ‘static – social media stats’ they are by far the best designed and they keep making major updates which Is great value for money. It’s great for beginners – pros to manage multiple accounts. They keep adding great features whilst keeping the simple to the point interface.

Lilach, a great round up of social media tools for sure. Another one that would be great to add to your list is Rival IQ http://www.rivaliq.com (I’m a founder). We’ve build a very easy to use marketing and social media analytics tool for small and medium businesses. It is worth you and your readers checking out if you get a chance.

Hi Mitch, thanks so much for your comment!
While you do get analytics for free for some social networks, many of these tools offer extra insights that you might not get with the regular, built-in analytics. I know you don’t use it, but Twitter’s analytics for example are not as detailed as Facebook Insights, so if you want to take a closer look at how you’re doing you would need a tool to get those analytics.
These tools can basically help you get more insights, that would be much more difficult to find otherwise. Not to mention, several of these tools are free to use, or have plenty of free features that would be enough for regular users. The bigger your business, the more you would need a professional tool to help you manage all of the analytics for all your social networks.
Hope that helps and thanks again for your comment:)
